Uwe Langmann

Uwe Langmann was born in 1985 in Germany.
He lives in Memmingen, Germany and travels to different places around the works for his photography.

Uwe Langmann is less concerned with depicting nature in his photographs than with bringing out its poetic qualities. Using a variety of exposure techniques, the artist succeeds in capturing the world in such a way that emotions, moods, and a slowed-down, conscious perception unfold in its image. Mono na aware is the name of the aesthetic principle from Zen Buddhism that Langmann applies to his photographic practice.

Langmann has received numerous awards, including the 2024/25 German Photo Book Award, which was presented at the Festival of Photographic Images. His photographs have been shown in numerous exhibitions and art fairs in Germany, Austria, Italy, and the USA.
