Camille Hannah paints pictures with oil and polymer paints on Plexiglas, which in art-historical terms can be assigned to the technique of reverse glass painting. However, Hannah uses a completely abstract form of paint application and her color palette of soft earth tones, powdery pink and gold clearly stands out from tradition. She demands a perception of her art without objectification, subordination and essentialization. Instead, her artworks should be seen as a starting point for a new and more open way of looking at what is understood as a symbol / image of femininity.
