Fabian von Spreckelsen’s work is inspired by his ongoing interest in the relationship between the urban world and uncultivated living space. His works testify to a deep fascination for the relationships between humans and the natural structures around them.
Fabian von Spreckelsen analyzes the lines of force of the various forms in the animal and plant world and creates geometric abstractions in order to imagine the power and beauty of the animal world in its stylized form. The welded steel works in his “Trophies” exhibition show life-size animals that, on the one hand, express the strength of animals and, on the other, remind us of the transience and vulnerability of nature.
