Günther Förg (* 1952 in Füssen; † 2013 in Freiburg im Breisgau) thought of art in terms of space: the German sculptor, painter and photographic artist coordinated his images with the surrounding architecture, not wanting to tell stories, but to make structures and references visible. In doing so, he succeeded in dressing complex dimensions in simple forms, avoiding repetition, and constantly reinventing himself.
